Electromechanic – Maintenance

Cannara Biotech Inc. is currently looking for an Electromechanic – Maintenance to join our dynamic team.

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the authority of the Instrument and Control Technician and the Stationary Machine Mechanic, the Electromechanic is responsible for installing, performing regular and periodic maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, adjusting and inspecting the components of the electromechanical systems of the various machines and equipment found in a plant.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on the greenhouse’s mechanical and electrical equipment, including heating, ventilation, lighting, irrigation, climate control and flowering table handling systems;
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair faults to minimize production interruptions;
  • Participate in the assembly of grow rooms, both mechanically and electrically;
  • Maintenance of post-harvest facilities;
  • Monitor stocks of spare parts and consumables, and communicate replenishment requirements to the manager;
  • Maintain a clean, safe working environment that complies with cannabis regulations;
  • Follow established procedures and practices and read instructions, plans, etc.

All tasks must be carried out in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• DEP in electromechanics for automated systems;
• 2 to 5 years’ experience as an electro-mechanic, preferably in an agricultural or industrial environment;
• Skills in troubleshooting and solving electrical and mechanical problems.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team;
• Demonstrate rigor and attention to detail;
• Show ingenuity and resourcefulness;
• Good dexterity and physical fitness;
• Able to handle at least 20 kg (45 lbs)
