Cannara Biotech Inc. is currently looking for a Director of Sales to join a dynamic team.
GENERAL SUMMARY
The Director of Sales will be responsible for leading Cannara’s sales organization for Recreational Cannabis in select markets, reporting directly to the VP of Sales. They will lead Provincial Board customer engagement in their assigned regions, manage assigned distributor relationships, and provide leadership to a team of Territory Managers across the country. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record of driving sales growth, implementing sales strategies, and building strong customer relationships.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSABILITIES
- Represent Cannara with select Provincial Boards and Distributors with the goal of driving growth of core strategic SKUs while securing distribution of planned innovation;
- Supports ongoing forecasting initiatives in partnership cross-functionally to ensure maximization of opportunity and minimization of risks or delays to product shipments;
- Work with a team of Territory Managers to develop, monitor and track market specific KPIs;
- Develops and implements market specific sales strategies that align with company objectives to support growth with provincial distributors and independent retailers;
- Analyze and report sales data, market trends, and competitive activities to uncover strategic opportunities;
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Supply Chain and Finance to enable and deliver on the annual sales plans;
- Manage the sales operations budget, ensuring efficient spend and utilization of company resources;
- Provide overall guidance and leadership to the sales organization, while developing a culture of urgency, accountability, and strong customer service;
- Leverage consumer and customer insights to develop a competitive advantage and continuously promote Cannara’s capabilities, portfolio advantages, and long-term commitments.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5-7 years sales leadership experience, preferably in Cannabis or CPG related field;
- Strong understanding of cannabis and the industry regulations;
- Demonstrated ability to coach, develop and lead high-performing teams;
- Exceptional communication skills, including verbal, written and presentation;
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn insights into strategy;
- Passion for cannabis and a drive to build a strong community;
- Reliable transportation for field visits, valid driver’s license;
- Available to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed;
- Experience in managing multiple demands with tight deadlines;
- Ability to travel nationally, and to head office and facilities in Quebec.
